Kuberaa is Sekhar Kammula's latest film, which hit the screens on June 20, 2025, and ended as a smash hit at the box office. Dhanush and Akkineni Nagarjuna played the main leads in this film, which is a social drama.
The film has locked its OTT release date and will be available for streaming on July 18, 2025, within a month of its theatrical release. As the film nears its OTT release, a section of the audience on social media feels that the release should have been delayed a bit.

Not many know that Kuberaa is still running in close to 50 screens in the Telugu states, which is quite rare despite the digital release being announced. One of the main reasons for this is the lack of proper big releases in both Telugu and Tamil. In the Telugu states, even small towns are seeing decent occupancy for Kuberaa.
One of the exhibitors from the Guntur region tells us that Kuberaa is seeing full houses on weekends, which is rare these days. But why the makers opted for an early OTT release is the biggest question.

Kuberaa was produced on a massive scale, and the makers wanted a chunk of the investment to be recovered through non-theatrical rights. So, when Amazon Prime Video offered a few crores extra, the makers agreed to an early OTT release.
Kuberaa is a suspense thriller and features some of the finest performances in recent times. Be it Dhanush, Nagarjuna, or Rashmika Mandanna, everyone gave their best performances in the film. DSP scored the music for the film, which made over ₹150 crore at the box office.

There were also reports that the deleted scenes from the theatrical version would be included in the OTT release, but the makers slammed these rumours and confirmed that only the theatrical cut will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
As the film is much-awaited on digital, it is expected to clock record streaming minutes. Let’s see what happens.
