Toolsidas Junior: OTT release date and time of the touching story starring Rajiv Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt

Based on true events, the sports drama is directed by Mridul Mahendra (also known as Mridul Toolsidas). The story takes a quirky turn, as in the case of most sports dramas, the athletes are often pushed to extremes by those around them. But in Toolsidas Junior, the young boy Midi, played by Varun Buddhadev, realizes his wishes to fulfil his father's dreams. 

The film is set in Calcutta in the year 1994, where Toolsidas (Rajiv Kapoor.) is an ace snooker player. In the Club Snooker Championship of 1994, Toolsidas tries to defeat the five-time champion Jimmy Tandon, played by Dalip Tahil. Unfortunately, he loses the tournament despite promising his son of definite victory. 

Midi the dedicated teenager, played by Varun Buddhadev, embarks on the journey to become a professional club snooker player and restore his father's legacy. He is on the lookout for a mentor when he joins the YMC Wellington club, after not being able to practice in the same club as his father due to his age. He meets Mohd Salaam, a former national champion who is played by Sanjay Dutt, who assumes the role of Midi's mentor.
