Timeless is the connection between Bollywood and romance, with a fresh view of love being presented in each movie. The idea of “Pyaar dosti hai” (Love is friendship) was inculcated in us from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, while “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” introduced us to the idea of Ek tarfa pyaar ki taakat (The power of one-sided love). For decades, directors have been changing definitions of love reflecting changing social norms and personal lives. It's fascinating to observe the dynamic interplay between cinematic portrayals of love and the audience's ability to connect with the characters on screen.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

The story of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil isn’t very profound, so it doesn't interest the viewer on the emotional level. Nevertheless, Ranbir Kapoor with Anushka Sharma give a perfect performance here just as Aishwarya Rai or Fawad Khan appear so pretty before our eyes while performing their own characters during these two hours running through London and Paris. Although there are some drawbacks in its storyline, the strength of this piece lies in its actors as well as the beautiful locations used.
