Last month gathered huge crowds in theatres with some of the most anticipated releases of the year including Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan, Richa Chadha-Pankaj Tripathi's Fukrey 3 as well as the Hollywood horror film, The Nun 2. Similarly, October 2023 has also arrived with a bunch of highly awaited theatrical releases including Mission Raniganj starring Akshay Kumar-Parineeti Chopra, Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Ganapath Part-1 as well as Kangana's Tejas among others. Here's a list of the crucial films releasing in the cinema this month.

Mission Raniganj (October 6)

Starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles, the disaster thriller film directed by Tinu Suresh Desai is based on a horrifying real-life event that is set against the backdrop of Raniganj Coalfields, West Bengal where 65 trapped miners were rescued by a brave mining engineer.

Thank You for Coming (October 6)

The sex comedy film follows the tale of a group of friends and their journey together. Directed by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, while Radhika Anand and Prashasti Singh, Thank You for Coming stars Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila and Shibani Bedi in pivotal roles.

Ganapath Part-1 (October 20)

The Vikas Bahl-directed science fiction action-drama film tells the tale of a dystopian world that witnesses shocking challenges in nature and people's lives. Starring Tiger Shroff, Amitabh Bachchan and Kriti Sanon, Ganapath Part-1 is bankrolled by the director himself along with Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh under the banners of Good Co and Pooja Entertainment.

Guthlee Ladoo (October 13)

Sanjay Mishra stars in a film about caste-based discrimination that still occurs in society, which causes multiple obstacles in a family due to their caste for basic needs such as education. Directed by Ishrat Khan, Guthlee Ladoo also features Subrat Dutta, Kalyanee Mulay and Kanchan Pagare in significant roles.

Yaariyan 2 (October 20)

The coming-of-age romantic drama film is an official Hindi remake of the hit 2014 Malayalam film Bangalore Days. Starring Divya Khosla Kumar, Pearl V Puri and Meezaan Jafri, it follows the tale of three cousins and navigates through their journies together as well as individually. Yaariyan 2 also features Yash Dasgupta, Anaswara Rajan, Warina Hussain, Priya Prakash Varrier, Lillete Dubey and Murali Sharma in key roles.

Tejas (October 27)

The Kangana Ranaut starrer is a biographical drama movie that is inspired by the life of an Indian Air Force pilot, Tejas Gil. Written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, Tejas also features Ashish Vidyarthi, Varun Mitra and Anshul Chauhan in key roles.

Ab Toh Sab Bhagwan Bharose (October 13)

Two school kids find themselves bewildered between the idea of God and religion as they learn new as well as contradictory things related to people's faith every day. Directed by Shiladitya Bora, the upcoming drama film stars Vinay Pathak, Masumeh Makhija, Shrikant Verma and Manu Rishi Chadha in major roles.

Darranchhoo (October 13)

The Bharat Ratan-directed movie stars Ashutosh Rana and Karan Patel in the tale of an average Indian man, who is in the struggling phase of his life juggling through professional and personal life. 

Aankh Micholi (October 27)

Abhimanyu Dassani and Mrunal Thakur starrer Aankh Micholi is a family comedy-drama that revolves around an unusual family, who are adamant about finding a perfect groom for their beloved daughter. The Umesh Shukla directorial also features Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, Arshad Warsi, Abhishek Banerjee and Vijay Raaz in key roles.

Happy Teacher's Day (October 27)

The Radhika Madan and Nimrat Kaur starrer social thriller-drama follows the tale of two government school teachers, who find themselves convicted of the murder of a student in the small town. Directed by Mikhil Musale, Happy Teacher's Day also features Soham Majumdar and Priyanshu Chatterjee in key roles.
