Torpedo to be a thriller, Binu Pappu reveals when Fahadh Faasil and Naslen-starrer will start shooting

Tharun Moorthy cleverly pulled off an entertainer with Thudarum after the critically acclaimed Saudi Vellakka. The Operation Java director is already caught up with his next venture, Torpedo, which stars Fahadh Faasil and Premalu star Nasl en, among others. Thudarum actor Binu Pappu, who penned the script for Torpedo, has now revealed that the upcoming Malayalam film will be a thriller, and when the team will likely start shooting.

When will Torpedo start filming

Binu Pappu, who was a part of Tharun Moorthy’s all three directorials, has spilled some beans about the much-anticipated Malayalam film.

In a recent interview with Silly Monks Torpedo is a thriller film, which is based on an actual incident that happened.

“The pre-production has already started. It had started earlier, but we stopped it in between for Thudarum. We are currently fixing the locations. We plan to start the shooting with 4 or 5 months. Dates including that of Naslen need to be fixed. Fahadh also needs to be free. I wrote the story based on an incident,” he explained.

Torpedo cast and crew

Apart from Naslen and Fahadh Faasil, Torpedo also features Arjun Das, and Ganapathi in key roles. Ashiq Usman is producing the film, which will have Jimshi Khalid as the cinematographer while Sushin Shyam has been roped in for composing the music.

Tharun Moorthy announced Torpedo even when his latest movie Thudarum, starring Mohanlal and Prakash Varma, was running in packed cinemas. The Malayalam thriller turned out to be a blockbuster and naturally, expectations are high for his next film. Adding to the excitement is that the film brings together Fahadh Faasil and the young star Naslen. Naslen had made a brief appearance in Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum, starring Fahadh Faasil
