Tourist Family box office day 2: Sasikumar-Simran film witnesses a slow growth with humble earnings

Tourist Family, the recent Tamil family drama featuring Sasikumar and Simran in the leading roles, has lived up to its expectations with positive reports pouring in about the film. Directed by debutant director Abishan Jeevinth, Tourist Family’s two-day earnings at the domestic box office are Rs 3.65 crore.

Actor and director Sasikumar, who was recently seen in films like Ayothi and Nandhan, has come up with yet another good film with Tourist Family. The film, which has had a good word of mouth ever since its teaser release, has collected Rs 3.65 crore at the box office in India within two days. The weekend to follow is expected to have more folks going to theatres to watch the film, given that it has received good reviews.

Tourist Family starring actors Simran, Mithun Jai Shankar, Kamalesh Jegan, Ilango Kumaravel, Yogi Babu, MS Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak and others, is a family drama which is helmed by Abishan Jeevinth in his directorial debut. The film revolves around a Sri Lankan Tamil family who illegally come to India and settle down in Chennai in order to start a new life with big hopes. It is produced by Million Dollar Studios, which has already backed good films like Good Night and Lover.

Tourist Family OTT release

Tourist Family will begin streaming on JioHotstar sometime towards the end of May. An exact release date will be announced later by the makers.

In Tamil, you can stream films like Jyotika’s 36 Vayadhinile, Thiruchitrambalam featuring Dhanush, and Manikandan-starrer Kudumbasthan, while Telugu films like Family Drama, Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam and 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu are also available to watch.
