Tourist Family, the recently released Tamil film starring Sasikumar and Simran in the lead roles, went on to become not only a commercial success but also critically acclaimed. The family drama is running in theatres currently. Directed by Abishan Jeevinth in his directorial debut, the film makers recently released a deleted scene from Tourist Family, which is a recreation of Sasikumar’s Sundara Pandian song.

This year’s Tourist Family has been rocking the box office, and has collected over Rs 50 crore at the box office. In fact, the film had surpassed Sasikumar’s highest grossers like Sundara Pandian and Kutti Pulli, to become the actor-filmmaker’s highest ever collection film. In the recent, the team released a deleted scene from Tourist Family.

In the scene, one can see that Sasikumar along with other supporting characters dancing to Sundara Pandian song on stage. The Ayothi actor also making his signature step by biting his shirt collar. While the makers released the scene, many questioned why the scene was deleted, and others heaved a sigh of relief that it wasn’t included because it would be like milking the old numbers for nostalgia factor, much like what films these days do.

Tourist Family OTT release

The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film has been bagged by JioHotstar, and will begin streaming by end of May. An exact date is yet to be announced. Tourist Family is produced by Million Dollar Productions and also features Simran, Mithun Jaishankar, Kamalesh Jagan, Ramesh Thilak, Ilango Kumaravel, MS Bhaskar, Kamalesh Jegan, Sreeja Ravi, and others in important roles.

The film revolves around a Sri Lankan Tamil family who sneak into Tamil Nadu and seek refuge illegally. However, a series of events lead to police investigating about the family.
