Tourist Family OTT release date: When and where to stream Sasikumar’s highest grosser family drama

Tourist Family, the recently released Tamil film starring Sasikumar, Simran and others, have been performing well at the box office after opening to positive reviews upon its release. The comedy family drama is directed by Abhishan Jeevinth in his directorial debut. With JioHotstar bagging the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film, the film is all set to make its OTT debut on June 2, the platform announced.

Among the many releases in 2025 so far, Tourist Family is the latest to join the bandwagon of good films. Directed by newcomer Abhishan Jeevinth, the film released in theatres on May 1. With its good word of mouth, Tourist Family went on to become a commercially successful film too. Led by Sasikumar and Simran in the lead role, it is now Sasikumar’s highest grosser beating Sundara Pandian and Kutti Pulli. The makers had also released a deleted scene in which the Ayothi actor is seen dancing to his famous song Kondaadum Manasu from Sundara Pandian.

Now, Tourist Family has gotten a release date officially. The film will premiere on JioHotstar from June 2 onwards. For those who did not watch the film in theatres, can now stream at your home. Tourist Family was praised by industry's stalwarts, right from Rajinikanth to Dhanush. The film became both commercial success and critically acclaimed.

Produced by Million Dollar Productions, the film also features Simran, Mithun Jaishankar, Kamalesh Jagan, Ramesh Thilak, Ilango Kumaravel, MS Bhaskar, Kamalesh Jegan, Sreeja Ravi, and others in important roles. The film revolves around a Sri Lankan Tamil family who sneak into Tamil Nadu and seek refuge illegally. However, a series of events lead to police investigating about the family. Tourist Family has grossed over Rs 75 crore worldwide, even as the film released alongside Suriya’s Retro.
