Tovino Thomas is gearing up for what could be the biggest project of his career yet – Ajayante Randam Moshanam. While the movie was first announced in January 2020, the pandemic has delayed the shoot schedules and now we hear that the team will kick off the shoot of the pan-Indian film in October.

Tovino, who is currently shooting for Dr Biju’s Adrishya Jalakangal, will join the sets of Jithin Lal’s directorial in Cheruvathur, Kasaragod, by October 10. Dr Biju’s movie too is shot in North Kerala. Tovino is expected to continue filming for Ajayante Randam Moshanam for over a month in Kannur, Kasaragod and Wayanad.

The movie will have the Minnal Murali actor play a triple role for the first time in his career. While the main storyline of the film is set in the 1990s, Tovino plays three characters named Maniyan, Kunjikelu and Ajayan, whose portions are set in 1900, 1950 and 1990, respectively. Recent rumours also suggested that Telugu actress Krithi Shetty could play the female lead in Tovino’s film.

The rest of the cast of the big budget venture is yet to be revealed. Tovino, meanwhile, is on a high after the success of his most recent release – Thallumaala, which has become his highest grossing movie yet. The film, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, Shine Tom Chacko, Lukman Avaran, Chemban Vinod Jose and Johnny Antony, is directed by Khalid Rahman and co-scripted by Muhsin Parari and Ashraf Hamza.

The actor, meanwhile, has several big projects lined up including Jude Anthany Joseph’s multi-starrer based on the 2018 Kerala floods and Aashiq Abu’s Neelavelicham. The actor has completed shooting his portions for both movies. Neelavelicham, which is also a period film set in the 1960s, is based on Vaikom Muhammed Basheer’s eponymous story. The film also has Rima Kallingal, Roshan Mathew and Shine Tom Chacko as part of the cast.
