Tovino Thomas undergoes drastic transformation for Dr Biju’s Adrishya Jalakangal

Count on Tovino Thomas to go the whole nine yards for his characters! The Minnal Murali star, on Tuesday, took to this social media page to share the drastic transformation he had underwent to play his character in Dr Biju’s Adrishya Jalakangal.

The actor, who had shot for the movie in October and November 2022 in Kasaragod, took to his social media page to share the first glimpse of the project that he hailed as “special” and also one of his favourite roles.

Tovino plays a nameless character in the movie, which is “rooted in surrealism that represents a zillion nameless ones around us”, the actor posted. Tovino is also co-producing the movie, which also has Indrans and Nimisha Sajayan, along with Ellanar Films and Pushpa producers Mythri Movie Makers.

The actor wrote that the movie has a “socially driven message that will nudge your hearts and make you ponder as to why… where to and what for”. In an earlier interview with us, the film’s director Dr Biju, who is teaming up with Tovino for the first time, said, “It’s an anti-war film and is a surrealistic movie, which is made on a huge budget. It’s made on a budget that such films haven’t been mounted before. We are also planning an international opening for the film.”

Tovino, meanwhile, is busy with Ajayante Randam Moshanam which has him playing triple role. The actor has also put in considerable effort to ensure that each of his three characters stand out physically and in terms of their body language and expressions. The movie also has Krithi Shetty, Basil Joseph, Surabhi Lakshmi and Aishwarya Rajesh in pivotal roles.

The actor will kick off 2023 with Aashiq Abu’s Neelavelicham and is also part of Jude Anthany Joseph’s multi-starrer 2018. His movie Vazhakk, which is helmed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, had its world premiere at the International Film Festival of Kerala, which concluded earlier this month.
