Trailer of comedian Pugazh’s emotional drama Zoo Keeper unveils a tender connection between a human and tiger

The trailer of Zoo Keeper, the upcoming Tamil film starring Pugazh in the lead role , was released by the makers on social media on Friday. The film has music composed on Yuvan Shankar Raja.

It is to be noted that Pugazh, a stand-up comedian, will be marking as a lead actor with Zoo Keeper. The film follows how his life changes after chances lead a tiger cub to his custody. A release date of the film is yet to be announced.

What do we see in the trailer?

We are introduced to a quaint mountainous area in Tamil Nadu, when a voiceover says that a tiger named Rajalakshmi gave birth to three cubs. We are also informed that one of the cubs has gone missing, which is shown to have reached Pugazh. Through his antics, we are also shown that Pugazh's character has a stunted growth mentally as he raises the cub as his own. Soon enough, tensions mount as legal hurdles come in the way to raise a cub at a home. Pugazh is also seen protecting the tiger, now a grown up, at all costs. The trailer gives us the hint that the film will explore concepts like man-animal relationship, ecological conservation, and fauna protection.

Team behind Zoo Keeper

Pugazh plays the lead role of a man who finds the tiger cub and grows it. Besides him, the film also features, Shirin Kanchwala, Singam Puli, Marimuthu, Imman Annachi, Pyramid Kumar and others. The film is written and directed by J Suresh, with T Jeba Jones, and S Rajarathinam backing it. The technical crew consists of music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with cinematography handled by Thanveer Mir. Azeeb KS is the editor. The makers of Zookeeper are yet to announce the release date of the film. Samuel Rajan has developed the art direction of the film and stunts are coordinated by Pradeep Dinesh. Gangai Amaran and Snehan serve as lyricists.

Pugazh, who has shot to fame as a comedian in reality shows, Ayothi, Valimai, Agent Kannayiram to name a few.
