Trailer of Detective Ujjwalan shows Dhyan Sreenivasan pushing his skills to the limit for a 'boogeyman'

Two days before Detective Ujjwalan's theatrical debut, the Malayalam film's makers have released a trailer. In addition to revealing the movie's narrative, the trailer features all of the key characters.

The two-minute video transports viewers to Plaachikkaavu, a remote village that is reputed to be tranquil and free of criminal activity. In the meantime, a mysterious character known as "Boogeyman" shocks the neighbourhood with a string of gory killings. Ujjwalan, played by Dhyan Sreenivasan, is a local investigator who wants to crack a major case but is only called in for absurd ones. The trailer suggests that he uses his abilities to apprehend the cold-blooded murderer. 

Nevertheless, Ujjwalan's efforts are dismissed while a special investigation team probes into the case concurrently. However, he doesn't lose hope and is determined to find the truth behind the mysterious killer. Overall, the trailer suggests that the movie will be a fascinating investigative thriller with a number of humorous elements. 

Even though the antagonist's identity is unknown, moviegoers are eager for an acclaimed actor to portray the part. After several box office setbacks, Detective Ujjwalan is also predicted to bring Dhyan a hit. SunNXT and OTTplay Premium are streaming the Varshangalkku Shesham star's most recent films, Iyer in Arabia and Kudumba Sthreeyum Kunjadum . 

Detective Ujjwalan to release on May 23

Originally scheduled for May 16, the movie will now be released on May 23, along with Tovino Thomas' upcoming film, Narivetta, and Sreenath Bhasi-starrer Azadi. This film is being directed by debutantes Rahul G and Indraneel Gopeekrishnan. The directors themselves wrote the screenplay for Detective Ujjwalan. Sophia Paul is producing the investigation thriller under Weekend Blockbusters' banner. Siju Wilson, Rony David, Kottayam Nazeer, Seema G Nair, Ameen Nihaal Nizam, Kalabhavan Navas, Shahubas, Nirmal Palazhy, Josy Sijo, and Nibraz Noushad are playing the supporting roles. Prem Akkattu and Sraiyanti are the cinematographers, while Chaman Chakko has helmed the edit work.
