Bachelor Party is the next ‘fun film’ from the stable of Rakshit Shetty’s Paramvah Studios, after Kirik Party. Directed by Abhijit Mahesh, the film is set to be in theatres this Republic Day and so far, all that is out in the public domain is a song called the Warning Song and a release day teaser that provides a basic idea of what to expect from the film. Bachelor Party has Diganth in the lead, along with Loose Mada Yogi, Achyuth Kumar, Shine Shetty and Siri Ravikumar, among others. The film is about the adventures and misadventures that befall Diganth, Yogi and Achyuth when they attend the Bachelor Party of Shine’s character. It is expected to be complete laugh-riot, on the lines of Hangover. Ahead of the film’s theatrical outing on January 26, the trailer will be released on January 16 at 6.30 pm.
The film, meanwhile, had initially been announced with a different star cast. Diganth and Achyuth Kumar were to be joined by Rishab Shetty, but the latter had to excuse himself after Kantara became a runaway hit and he had to focus on the prequel. The makers had to then replace him and got Yogi instead. For Rishab, who had directed Kirik Party, Bachelor Party would have been his first acting commitment for Paramvah Studios, but that was not to be. The first poster that came out also featured Rakshit in the background and it was thought that he’d have a cameo. It remains to be seen if he will still be in the film.
During the launch of the film, Rakshit had said that if you were to place a fun film like Kirik Party in Bangkok, instead of the college campus, that is what Bachelor Party is. Director Abhijit, added Rakshit, is the man who wrote all the comedy punch lines in Kirik Party and Avane Srimannarayana, so Bachelor Party will also have that kind of fun.
