The makers of the Malayalam film Kadakan released its trailer today (February 20). It shows a glimpse into the lead actor Hakkim Shajahan’s power-packed performance in this film, which is slated to release in theatres on March 1. Sona Olickal is playing the female lead in this movie.
The 2-minute-and-19-second video suggests that the film revolves around the lives of residents of a particular region in Malappuram. Additionally, it depicts Hakkim and Manikandan's characters as perpetually having ego conflicts that escalate into physical altercations.
The trailer suggests that Kadakan contains action and emotional scenes of its own, which enhances the movie's appeal. It also reveals a dispute between the police and the locals over illegal sand transportation from the area.
Hakkim Shajahan, well-known for his parts in the short film Freedom @ Midnight and Pranaya Vilasam, is portraying an aggressive character in Kadakan. The action drama will be a significant project for the actor, who has had supporting parts in films like Neru lately, as it will allow him to demonstrate his ability to bring in mass element among the audience, especially youngsters.

Censored with a UA certificate, the film will be distributed in theatres throughout the state under Dulquer Salmaan's banner, Wayfarer Films. The movie will be running in theatres alongside other eagerly awaited Malayalam films, including Tovino Thomas’s Anweshippin Kandethum, Mammootty’s Bramayugam, and Naslen’s Premalu. Soubin Shahir's Manjummel Boys will also hit the big screen on February 22.
Khaleel is the producer of this film, which is directed by debutant Sajil Mampad. The screenplay for Kadakan was written by Bodhi and Sasi Kumar Mampad. Sarath Sabha, Fahiz Bin Rifai, Harisree Asokan, Jaffar Idukki, Manikandan R Achari, Sinoj Varghese, Nirmal Palazhi, Pradeep Balan, Dinesh Prabhakar, Meenakshi Raveendran, and Bibin Perumpilly play supporting roles in the film. In this movie, Tamil actor Ranjith appears as a police officer.
