Trailer of Yogaraj Bhat’s Gaalipata 2 out on July 31

Gaalipata 2 is now only days away from releasing and fans have already been gushing on the songs from the ensemble film. August 12 will mark the return of the iconic Yogaraj Bhat - Golden Star Ganesh combo to the cinema halls but the first proper glimpse of the film will be out much sooner: the trailer of Gaalipata 2 will be released digitally on July 31.

The announcement came as part of the recently released Character Teaser, a short video glimpse of Ganesh's 'Gani' in the film.

Ganesh is joined by his close friend and collaborator Diganth Manchale with filmmaker/screenwriter Pawan Kumar making up the trio. Just as in the 2008 film, Gaalipata 2's main charm will lie in the camaraderie and comic-timing between the three characters, while the underlying romance and love stories form the emotional crux of the film.

Music will be another major highlight of the film with Arjun Janya taking over the reins from V. Harikrishna. Yogaraj Bhat has collaborated with Arjun Janya on several occasions in the past as a lyricist but Gaalipata 2 would be his only second venture with the prolific composer. 

Bhat has penned multiple songs in the soundtrack with Jayant Kaikini, the man who has written the lyrics of some of the most iconic songs like Anisuthide Yaako Indu and Minchangi Neenu Baralu, taking care of the rest. In his previous interviews, Bhat has alluded to the fact that doing justice to the 'brand of Gaalipata' has been the main priority of the entire team, especially with respect to the music.

Vaibhavi Shandilya, Sharmiela Mandre, and Samyuktha Menon too are part of the cast along with veterans Rangayana Raghu, Ananth Nag, Bullett Prakash, Sudha Belawadi, and others. Nishvika Naidu will be seen making a special appearance as Ganesh's best friend in the film.
