The trailer of LOL Salaam, streaming platform Zee5's latest Telugu original, was unveiled recently by actor Nani. Going by the trailer, the Telugu original promises a rib-tickling comedy in the offing, revolving around a group of five friends whose plans for a dream holiday go awry. While their car breaks down, one of the friends unwittingly steps on a landmine, only to be caught amidst a vile political conspiracy soon. The original brings together Pavan Kumar Alluri, Aishwarya Bala, Gayathri Dolly and Kivish Kautilya in significant roles.

The team has more or less settled for a bunch of new faces, apart from two notable actors, namely Harshavardhan and Vasu Inturi. LOL Salaam, directed by Naani (not to be mistaken for the actor), is a lighthearted take on a serious issue and has been shot extensively amid dense forests. The ending of the trailer pompously reads, 'The biggest laughter ride of the season.' The writing looks witty, so does the comic timing of an energetic cast keen to make their mark.

The music score for LOL Salaam has been composed by Ajay Arasada while Rakesh S Narayanan has cranked the camera, with the edits by Venkat Krishna Chikkaala. The principal photography of the project commenced in 2020 after the lockdown. The series is introducing over 40 newcomers, including its five lead actors. "Our ultimate goal is to make everyone laugh in these tough times," says team LOL Salaam. The trailer has garnered over 40000 views to date.

Some of Zee5's recent Telugu shows include Loser, Meka Suri, Shootout at Alair, Room No. 54 besides the direct-to-OTT release Battala Ramaswamy Biopikku.
