A glimpse from the upcoming Indian film Kuberaa, called the ‘Trance of Kuberaa’ was released by the makers on social media on Sunday. Headlined by Dhanush, the film is directed by Love Story filmmaker Sekhar Kammula.
Trance of Kuberaa out: Dhanush and Sekhar Kammula’s film promises to be dramatic
Actor Dhanush, who has a line-up of films, including the recently announced biopic of Abdul Kalam, will be next seen in Kuberaa. The film will release in multiple languages on June 20. Ahead of this, the makers of Kuberaa unveiled a special glimpse titled ‘Trance of Kuberaa’ on Sunday.
The cast of Kuberaa consists of Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna and Jim Sarbh among the others. The music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad. The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by Prime Video.
Directed by filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, who will be working with the Thiruchitrambalam actor for the first time. The two-minute video begins with shots of characters being shown accompanied by a song that talks about owning everything. In the beginning we see shots of Jim Sarbh and Nagarjuna who seem to come from wealthy background. Soon, with the same song continuing, we see Dhanush's character who seems to be struggling and starving. We see Rashmika's character, and Dhanush running on the streets. The plot is not revealed but we get to know that drama is going to unfold between the four primary characters.

Dhanush, who is known for his prolific career, has wowed audience with various performances. While his films from early on his career, like Kaadhal Konden and Thiruda Thirudi stand apart, he has also done commercial films like Venghai and Kodi. He won the National Film Award for his performance in Aadukalam directed by Vetrimaaran and has made some off-beat movies like Anegan , Mayakkam Enna and Yaaradi Nee Mohini.
