Trial by Fire trailer: Rajshri Deshpande and Abhay Deol flip the system upside down for justice

Netflix has just unveiled the trailer of Trial by Fire starring Rajshri Deshpande and Abhay Deol. The upcoming limited series is inspired by the bestseller book, Trial by Fire: The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy by Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy, and chronicles the authors' real-life experiences of horror and tragedy. 

The real-life story talks about the day when 59 people lost their lives, while over 100 got injured in the fire that took place in Uphaar Cinema in South Delhi. The tragedy that occurred over 25 years ago has made multiple families live with the unfortunate sad reality of losing their families and loved ones.

The latest trailer begins with showcasing Rajshri and Abhay as Neelam and Shekhar, who lost the lives of their two children at the horrifying event that occurred over 25 years ago. The two children wave goodbye to their mom and leave for the theatre. 

Moving on, Rajshri and Abhay reach the incident spot but couldn't find their children. They land at the nearby hospital and learn of the death of their two offspring. The video further displays how the mother and father of two deceased kids go through all the trouble to file the case against some powerful culprits of the tragedic event and follow up the development of the investigation to make them pay for their crime. 

The trailer also unveils how the two do not get support from the authorities and how they flip the system upside down for justice and in order to curb such incidents in future.

The OTT giant shared the latest video on Netflix's official Instagram handle as well with an important note in the caption that reads, "In a tragic turn of events, Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy’s life flipped upside down when they lost their two kids in the Uphaar Cinema fire. Watch the story of their resilience and hardships in seeking justice for the same in #TrialByFire, releasing January 13. (sic)."

The Prashant Nair directorial also has Rajesh Tailang, Ashish Vidyarthi, Anupam Kher, Ratna Pathak, Shilpa Shukla and Shardul Bharadwaj in significant roles.

Trial by Fire releases on Netflix on January 13.
