Last evening, the trailer of Golden Star Ganesh’s latest film, Triple Riding was released. The trailer comes with only a week to go for the film’s theatrical outing on November 25. Directed by Mahesh Gowda, Triple Riding pairs the actor with not one, but three leading ladies – Aditi Prabhudeva, Megha Shetty and Rachana Inder. The film will be in competition with at least three other Kannada movies at the box office that week, namely Raymo, Spooky College and Saddu Vicharane Nadiyutidde.

While the trailer has been lapped up by hardcore Ganesh fans, there is no ignoring the growing sentiment among some of them that the Golden Star is not diversifying with his film roles. The consensus among netizens has been that Ganesh has been peddling the same formulaic story in film after film, with pretty much nothing new to write about “Outdated,” was the most common word used to describe the trailer. Ganesh, they reckon, is stuck in a rut.

“Triple Riding looks below average; same old story from 2010. Ganesh should select scripts that give something new,” wrote Hrishikesh Loch. “He had to choose better script I don’t no why he is selecting such low quality scripts hope he comes back with different script which has uniqueness,” added Akshay. Milan Annaiah wondered what was happening to Ganesh, writing, “What is happening Ganesh? Same old template since Mungaru Male. This safe route won’t work anymore.” Another user, Shiva, said that the trailer offered nothing new and that the only saving grace was that all three heroines were local Kannadiga girls. A user going by the name Rolex Bhai felt that it is time that Ganesh tries his hand at other genres, besides romantic dramas. “Ade kitogiro dialogues, same old looks, drama, storyline,” he wrote.

Fans were also not happy with the lack of promotions for the film, which is coming out in a week's time and complained that any attempt to tell the leading man to pick up the tempo on the publicity has him blocking them.

Meanwhile, the satellite rights of Triple Riding have been picked up by Star Suvarna.
