There was a lot of expectation surrounding Vikram Ravichandran’s debut film, Trivikrama, but the Sahana Murthy film did not live up to it. Even though the actor showed off his dance, fight and acting skills and was paired with Akanksha Sharma, who is best known for being in Badshah’s hit track, Jugnu, Trivikrama failed to capture the imagination of audiences. The film’s plot was stale and the filmmaker’s execution faulty.

Eventually, the film sank without a trace and did not manage an OTT deal in the two years since its theatrical release. The film was recently made available for free streaming and can be accessed on the official YouTube page of Jhankar Music. It dropped as of August 10, 2025.
In the time since his debut, Vikram has officially announced only one other project – Mudhol – a film that he says will propel his career in the right direction. Helmed by Karthik Rajan, Mudhol is being produced by Vikram’s home banner, Eswari Productions and is said to be a gangster flick, which the actor believes is not a genre that his generation dabbles with often. Last heard, the film was nearing completion, with only a few songs pending, which were on hold because the actor had injured himself during the climax shoot.
Vikram and his brother Manu are also set to be a part of Ravichandran’s ambitious project Premaloka 2, which was to be launched on the latter’s birthday in May. There’s been no update in a while, although Tamil actress Teju Ashwini is said to have been roped in for the film that will apparently have 25 songs.
Ravichandran had introduced Juhi Chawla to Kannada cinema with the 1987 film Premaloka that he also played the lead in. The Crazy Star will be Premaloka 2 as well, although it remains to be seen if the narrative will focus on him or his two sons.
