HBO is in full swing at the moment! The popular production house had dropped an intriguing teaser for House of Dragons on the weekend, and now it has unveiled the highly anticipated trailer of the mystery series, True Detective. HBO’s anthology series is all set to reappear with the latest season four of True Detective, featuring Jodi Foster and Kali Reis.
Trailer brings detectives to solve eerie crimes
In a nearly 2:50-minute trailer, we see a police detective (played by Jodie Foster) embarking on a mysterious death case and the sudden disappearance of 8 men in a frozen Alaskan town. However, she is not alone in this crime-solving journey, she teams up with another detective, played by Kali Reis. The catch is that there’s been a bitter feud between the police detectives going on in the past. Will they go beyond animosity to solve the mysterious crimes? Or will the darkness envelop them?
The Official logline reads, "When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”
Who is teaming up with Jodie Foster in crime-thriller?
Award-winning actress Jodie Foster will be playing an intelligent and highly-skilled detective, Liz Danvers. While Kali Reis plays her detective partner, Evangeline Navarro. Set in Alaska during the frozen weather, we witness gruesome murders and victims buried in snow. The promising cast also includes Fiona Shaw, Finn Bennett, Isabella Star Lablanc, and John Hawkes.
