It's official! Liger star Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh reunite for JGM, an action drama

Filmmaker Puri Jagannadh and actor Vijay Deverakonda, who have wrapped shooting for the sports drama Liger, are joining hands yet again for another pan-Indian actioner titled Jana Gana Mana. The official news about their collaboration was announced today at an event hosted in Mumbai. The director has always maintained that the film is his dream project and that he was waiting for a long time to helm this and who better than the tinsel town heart throb Vijay Deverakonda to headline it?

What's more interesting about Jana Gana Mana a.k.a JGM is the lineup of producers. Apart from Charmme Kaur, the film will also be produced by Maharshi, Oopiri director Vamshi Paidipally. JGM will be produced by the trio under Puri Connects (Puri Jagannadh's home banner) and Srikara Studio Production. JGM has screenplay and dialogues by Puri Jagannadh too. The film will simultaneously release in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam - on August 3, 2023.

Expressing his happiness about the announcement, Puri Jagannadh said that he can't wait to work with Vijay Deverakonda again and labelled JGM, the ultimate action entertainer with a strong narrative. Vijay Deverakonda called it one of the most challenging scripts in his career and will touch the heart of every Indian citizen. "It's an honour to be a part of Puri Jagannadh's dream project. I have a refreshing character which I haven't played before and I'm sure audiences will have good things to say about it," the Liger star added.

Vamshi Paidipally shared JGM would tap into the conscience of every Indian and that it's wonderful to collaborate with Vijay Deverakonda, Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur on a prestigious project.
