Ranbir Kapoor is all set to win hearts in Luv Ranjan’s upcoming directorial, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar(TJMM). The film will see Luv back in the director’s chair after a gap of almost four years. The director seems to be trying to make sure that his directorial comeback will live up to the hype. Ranbir recently opened up about how he felt like he was on the sets of an action film while filming for the same.

In a recent media interaction, the Brahmastra actor spoke of his experience working with Luv. The actor said that Luv was a very skilled dialogue writer, and had a knack for writing them in a way that made their tone and rhythm sound very musical. Even a single scene featured long monologues.

“Luv is the kind of director who does not like it when you take a long breath, or even blink for that matter. So all of that was very difficult to do, and it felt like every one of them was an action scene, even when they were romantic or comedy scenes”, said Ranbir.

The actor went on to say that he had not done a comedy like TJMM before. He said that one of the last comedies he had done was 2009’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, which was more slapstick. He concluded by saying that the upcoming film was genuinely a very funny and hilarious take on love and relationships.

Ranbir will be sharing the screen with Shraddha Kapoor for the first time in TJMM, which also stars Boney Kapoor, Monica Chaudhary, Hasleen Kaur, Rajesh Jais and Ayesha Raza Mishra. The film, which marks Boney’s acting debut, is produced under the banners of Luv Films and T- Series.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will be released in theatres on March 8, 2023.
