Rom com maestro Luv Ranjan is returning to the director’s chair after almost five years, with Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. Not only will the film see Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor share the screen for the first time ever, and will also mark Shraddha’s comeback to the industry after almost three years. Shraddha has been on the forefront of promotions of the film, delighting fans by being her cheerful, bubbly self throughout. The actress recently revealed who her favourite ‘Kapoor co-star’ was, and it seems that Ranbir did not make the list.
In a video shared by Bolly Telly Buzz, Shraddha was asked to name her favourite Kapoor co-star, during a promotional event. To everyone’s surprise, instead of naming her Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar co-actor, Shraddha said that her favourite Kapoor co-star was her father, Shakti Kapoor, following it up with a knowing smile. After the applause from the audience died down and someone followed up the question, Shraddha added that her ‘ultimate’ was definitely Shakti Kapoor.
Shraddha and her father Shakti had shared the screen in her debut film, Teen Patti, directed by Leena Yadav. Shakti had a cameo in the thriller, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Ben Kingsley, R. Madhavan and Raima Sen.
In her upcoming film, Shraddha and Ranbir will also share the screen with Boney Kapoor, Monica Chaudhary, Hasleen Kaur, Rajesh Jais and Ayesha Raza Mishra as well. The film marks Boney’s acting debut. Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film is bankrolled under the banners of Luv Films and T- Series.
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar will hit the big screens on March 8, 2023.
Shraddha recently also made a special appearance in the song Thumkeshwari from Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya. The actress will also be seen playing the lead role in Vishal Furia’s upcoming Naagin film.
