Tu Tu Main Main set to make a comeback, Supriya Pilgaonkar turns saas this time

Supriya Pilgaonkar and Reema Lagoo’s popular TV show Tu Tu Main Main is making a comeback. This time, Supriya turns a saas. She previously played the role of bahu.

The original show saw the nok-jhok between the saas and bahu, played by Supriya and Reema. Since the TV show is so iconic, Surpriya is certain of comparisons with Reema’s character, which could prove challenging for her.

Supriya told Hindustan Times that the show is still in the nascent stage. The makers are yet to finalize on who will play the bahu this time around. They are looking for someone who is spontaneous. Of course, it will be a new face on the show.

Supriya’s chemistry with Reema has to match with the new entrant on the show. Pulling that off might take some time too. The actress feels that since Tu Tu Main Main is like Tom & Jerry, thus the makers need to cast someone who matches that vibe.

She, as one can expect, is nervous about the upcoming season. Reema Lagoo had pulled off the character and now, she has to step into those shoes. The actress feels that comparisons are unavoidable, especially if the show will be titled Tu Tu Main Main 2.

Before this show, Supriya played the role of a mother-in-law in the TV show, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. That show’s theme was drama but Tu Tu Main Main falls under comedy.
