The third season of the Sylvester Stallone-led crime drama Tulsa King is set to drop on JioHotstar (also via OTTplay Premium) on September 22. Created by Taylor Sheridan, Tulsa King follows Stallone as Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi, a capo with the mafia in New York, who is packed off to Tulsa, after having served decades in prison and never ever giving up his bosses.
Following this slight, Dwight heads to Tulsa, but begins building his own empire, which, of course, earns him a fair share of enemies. In Season 2, Dwight and his motley crew go about solidifying their business ventures, giving most legal status. From weed to wind energy, cars and more, Dwight and gang have a finger each in multiple pies. All of this, of course, does not go ahead without its fair share of opposition.
There’s Cal Thresher (Neal McDonough), whose marijuana business Dwight takes over, after the former’s business collaboration with the Chinese mafia through Jackie Ming (Rich Ting) goes awry, as well as Bill Bevilaqua (Frank Grillo), a Kansas-city mobster looking for a sizeable chunk of Dwight’s business. At the end of season 2, Bill is still around, but his position with Dwight remains unclear, shifting between ally and foe.

By the end of Season 2, it emerges that business rivals apart, Dwight’s also got to worry about something else, after being whisked away by masked men and then told that he now works for them. Who this ‘them’ is will form a major plot point of Season 3. Dwight is also not done with expanding his business ventures, with his sight now firmly set on acquiring a distillery owned by the Dummires, his newest enemies.
Samuel L Jackson is set to be introduced as Russell Lee Washington Junior, a former prison mate of Dwight’s, who’s now been charged with getting rid off the latter. Amid all this drama, Tulsa King also finds time for Dwight’s romantic escapades, while also building his own empire and family of trusted allies.
On the main cast of the show are Martin Starr (Bohdi Geigerman), Jay Will (Tyson Mitchell), Max Casella (Manny Truisi), Vincent Piazza (Vince Antonacci), Garrett Hedlund (Mitch Keller) and Dana Delany (Margaret Deveraux), among others.
