Tunte: Dipanwita Rakshit and Syed Arefin set to start a new journey

Dipanwita Rakshit, aka Khukumoni, rose to fame with her serial Khukumoni Home Delivery. Now she leaves the kitchen and enters the sewing room. The actress returns to Star Jalsha in a new avatar. She will be accompanied by Syed Arefin aka Shantu Gunda. They will be seen in the upcoming mega Tunte, whose first promo came out on Friday.

Tunte is a village girl who dreams to be a fashion designer. She has magic in her hands, as said by the village people. She can make new dresses out of old sarees. But she is mistreated by her stepmother, who sends Tunte to work as a maid in a city home. Will Tunte’s dream get shattered after coming to Lahiri Mansion?

Tunte reaches the famed designer's house and comes to know that she came here as a maid. Everyone trolls Tunte after learning of her dream of becoming a fashion designer. Hero Syed Arefin takes an entry and retorts, “Why not? Can a maid not have talents and dreams?”

Thus, the hero will be Tunte’s mentor in her journey from a maid to a fashion designer. The story of the dream fulfillment of a maid is not new on television. We have seen Fuljhuri becoming a successful singer and Jaba becoming a judge. Now Tunte appears with her struggle.

However, some people trolled the serial's name. One wrote, “Tunte! What a name! Julu Kaku did not get any other name!” Someone else compared this with Ke Apan Ke Par and wrote, “She exactly looks like Jaba Part 2!” Many people did not get any novelty in the promo. Some others expressed interest to see the chemistry of the Arefin-Dipanwita duo. It is heard that the channel will present the serial after the IPL ends. It is also rumored that the mega will come in a prime time slot. Will it replace Gnatchora, or some other big changes are on the way? Only time will tell.
