Tupac Shakur is an iconic figure in hip-hop culture. He is considered as one of the finest rappers from the '90s. Songs like So Many Tears, Dear Mama, Trapped, California Love, Letter 2 My Unborn, How Long Will They Mourn Me?, etc., are one of the most cherished ones of all time.
How Tupac got killed?
Tupac was not just a rapper, he was a model, entrepreneur and a game-changer in the music industry. He was the first gangster rapper to touch everyone's hearts with his street life stories. When he was 25-years-old, he was fatally killed in a drive-by shooting in the Las Vegas Valley, Nevada in 1996. He was shot by 4 bullets from a .40-calibre Glock, two in the chest, one in the arm, and one in the thigh.
Now after 27 years of his death, we got to learn some interesting news about the late musician. Did you know Shakur had wanted to sign Bad Boy Records? His brother, Mopreme Shakur has recently revealed the news to The Art Of Dialogue.
What did Mopreme say?
There was a point Pac was considering going to Bad Boy before his relationship with Death Row. He wanted to be on a Black label.” Mopreme shared, “He wanted to be with his people. He wanted to be with the brothers. He supported Black business. Over time, things happened and Pac started seeing things. Biggie was on Puffy’s label so with them two, it was Puffy calling the shots. There were some legitimate problems there."
The killer got arrested
Last month, Duave Keith Davis got arrested for first-degree murder of Tupac and was presented to the LA court on October 26. However, LA police believe that Davis' late nephew, Orlando Anderson was the actual murderer.
Jason Johansson, a LA police officer, told the media, “Duane Davis was the shot-caller for the group of individuals named - Terrence Brown, Deandre Smith and Anderson, that committed this crime. He orchestrated the plan that was carried out to commit this crime.”
