Actor Tushar Pandey, who shot to fame with appearances in films like Chhichhore, Pink, Rang De Basanti, Tevar, Phantom, web series Aashram and Homecoming in the recent past, will now play a titular role in his next project, Titu Ambani. He is paired alongside actress Deepika Singh in the same. The film revolves around Titu and Moushumi, lovebirds who face a series of small troubles as they plan to get married. While Moushumi is keen on financially supporting her family, Titu is in need of a huge sum to kick-start his business.
Directed and bankrolled by Rohit Raj Goyal, Titu Ambani is a rom-com that's set to hit theatres later this weekend on July 8. Goyal, the filmmaker, had won the ITA Award for Best Director – Drama for his directorial mettle in Diya Aur Baati Hum, telecast on Star Plus. Raghuvir Yadav, Virendra Saxena, Sapna Sand too play crucial roles in the film bankrolled by Mahendra Vijaydan Detha and Dinesh Kumar.
Tushar, who plays Titu, is cast as a man who's full of dreams and ambition but finds the shortest way to accomplish them. Hence the film’s title refers to him as Titu Ambani. Titu, despite leading a debt-ridden life, is addressed as a dreamer who's no less than Ambani. Titu Ambani promises to be a feel-good love story revolving around a middle-class family that drives several serious messages in a lighter vein.
It's hard to forget Tushar's portrayal of Mummy in Sushant Singh Rajput's coming-of-age comedy Chhichhore in 2019. The character is nicknamed Mummy because he keeps calling his mom every now and then. The actor who received a lot of praise for his role in Chhichhore looks keen to make a mark in Titu Ambani as a lead as well. Across the industry, the young actor is well known for his professionalism and surrenders himself to every role that comes to his kitty with utmost honesty.
