Anoop Menon’s investigative thriller Twenty One Grams is finally gearing up to release on OTTs after its successful run in theatres. The movie, which hit cinema halls in March, is helmed by debutant Bibin Krishna and was a sleeper hit, raking in generally positive reviews.
Starring Anoop Menon in the lead, the film also has Renji Panicker, Leona Lishoy, Lena, G Chandunath, Anu Mohan, Ranjith, Manasa Radhakrishnan, Mareena Michael Kurushingal and Prashanth Alexander as part of its cast.

The film revolves around crime branch DySP Nanda Kishor’s investigation into the murders of two siblings in two days. Nanda, who is dealing with a personal tragedy, soon narrows down suspects but every turn reveals a new motive of the killer till he is finally at a phase where he has to choose between saving the suspects or catching the culprit.
The police procedural, which marks Anoop’s second role this year as a cop, is also the actor’s first superhit in a lead role since the pandemic. The movie, which went on to play for over a month in theatres in Kerala, will now release on Disney+ Hotstar, Anoop confirmed through a social media post on June 1.
The actor wrote, “21 Grams, the movie that you had made a hit in theatres, will now available at your homes through Hotstar… June 10.” It will also mark back-to-back OTT releases for the actor as Mammootty’s CBI 5: The Brain, in which Anoop has also played a senior cop, will drop on Netflix on June 12.
Anoop, meanwhile, is also gearing up for the release of his directorial Padma, which has Surabhi Lakshmi in the lead role. He has also scripted Kannan Thamarakkulam’s political thriller Varaal, which has Sunny Wayne, Prakash Raj, Renji Panicker and Honey Rose in pivotal roles.
