Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is almost here, with a teaser releasing on January 24, 2024. But fans cannot keep calm as film critic Taran Adarsh dropped the first poster of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan earlier today on Twitter. If it is anything to go by, the film might get a resurgence of box office collection and more acceptance among the masses for Akshay Kumar, like his earlier projects Rustom (2016) and Mission Mangal (2019).

Release date and confirmed cast of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Adarsh shared the latest poster along with the release date, marking Eid 2024 for release. Fans immediately started pouring their love and hate in bountiful quantities, thankfully with more of the former and little of the latter. The film will be released around April 10 and will feature Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the leading roles.

Since the rise of OTT, even theatrical releases have tried to make commercial hits in a nuanced manner. And since Ali Abbas Zafar is in charge of direction, who was previously responsible for action blockbusters like Shahid Kapoor’s Blood Daddy (2023) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), fans can relax and await an action blockbuster of the ultimate standard.

Poster receives slightly mixed bag of reviews on Twitter

While most found the film’s poster iconic and "blockbuster," there were some Twitter users who predicted the film to be a flop, based on Akshay Kumar’s recent box office flops. Several would also have preferred the film with any other actor replacing Tiger Shroff, or preferably even an ensemble action thriller with Govinda, Sunny Deol, and Shah Rukh Khan.

But a majority of Twitter users preferred the poster and called it “the best poster after pandemic”. Some even compared it to Hollywood standards and previous Indian hits like Jawan and Pathaan. The rest anticipated an epic clash between Akshay Kumar’s Chote Miyan Bade Miyan and Salman Khan’s Bull.
