It's been two years since HBO's hit fantasy drama series Game of Thrones ended. But the makers are definitely not done yet. After announcing House of the Dragon, the prequel to the series, HBO is adding two more animated series. The first one was announced in January this year which will stream on HBO Max. One of the titles is likely to be The Golden Empire of Yi Ti or just Yi Ti, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The series will be set against the backdrop of Imperial China just how Game of Thrones was set in the fictional continent of Westeros in Medieval Europe. Interestingly, Yi Ti was mentioned in Game of Thrones while the upcoming prequel House of the Dragon features Lord Corlys Velaryon the Sea Snake sailing there.
Meanwhile, another report revealed that Flea Bottom, which is set in the King's Landing slum will not happen anytime soon.
Talking about House of the Dragon, the show is created by George RR Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO. The upcoming series which consists of ten episodes features Paddy Considine as Viserys I Targaryen, Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint as Corlys Velaryon, Eve Best as Rhaenys Velaryon among others.
The first look of a few actors was unveiled a few weeks back which made the fans excited as ever. House of the Dragon is likely to start streaming in 2022.
Meanwhile, about Game of Thrones, it currently streams on Disney+ Hotstar in India and is touted as one of the most expensive shows ever made on the planet.
In 2018, HBO had announced Bloodmoon another prequel to GoT starring Naomi Watts in the lead role along with Josh Whitehouse, Toby Regbo, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower and others. However, the show has been cancelled.
