When it comes to Udhayanidhi Stalin, he is known to speak his mind. And in a recent interaction with a regional media house, the Kalaga Thalaivan actor opened up about his thoughts on Arya's latest release, Captain, which was distributed through Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. It all began when Arya sent a question to Udhayanidhi through a video during the interaction, in which he said, "We have done a lot of movies together and I have acted in your films produced by your banner. Could you tell me which film of mine you like the most and you think that you should have acted in it."

To which Udhayanidhi instantly replied in a jocular manner, "Captain". He said that he had not watched the film before distributing it. He revealed that Arya had said that the film has come out well and that it is bigger than Predator and pushed the film to Red Giant. "The film's director Shakti Soundar Rajan had earlier made Teddy and Naaigal Jaagirathai. So I thought he might have done a good job. All his films were good, except this one. In fact, Arya had organised a special screening of the film for me. I invited Maamannan director Mari Selvaraj and went for the film telling him that it will be a good film. Mari Selvaraj didn't like the film. Arya had asked me to call him after the film. Neither did I call him nor did he ask me how the film was. "

He added that he met Arya recently and asked him about it. "I met Arya at a dinner and asked him. Do you have any conscience? You should have just made Predator again." He added that Arya and he had delivered hits like Madrasapattinam and Boss Engira Baskaran. Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga fared reasonably well. And that this one was a complete misfire.
