UEFA Champions League Final: When and where to watch Liverpool vs Real Madrid live on OTT in India

Without doubt the biggest competition in European club football is the UEFA Champions League. Over the years, the competition has seen some iconic moments, the kind that only football can provide. This year’s competition, which saw heartbreaks, comebacks and more, is coming to an end. As Liverpool face Real Madrid in the UCL final, Indian fans can watch it anywhere on the go. 

Liverpool have had a stellar year, keeping their chances of winning four trophies in a season alive until the final moments of the final gameweek of the Premier League. Already having won the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup, the Reds once again came up short to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Premier League. But this failure to win the English League will only motivate the six time Champions League winners. 

Jurgen Klopp’s men have had a rather easy path into the final in Stade de France. They had Atlético Madrid, Porto and Milan in their group stages and then had to face Inter Milan, Benfica and Villarreal in the knockout games. Nobody really posed any threat to the English side, as they made their way into another UCL final under the German boss. 

Real Madrid have been in the news a lot lately, mostly for their failure to get the signature of Kylian Mbappe. But their UCL run has been brilliant to say the least. Real Mardird under Carlo Ancelotti earned the title of “comeback kings”, and rightfully so. Already having clinched the La Liga title, Real Madrid will go again, trying to win an unprecedented 14th UCL title. 

Real Madrid faced Inter Milan, Sheriff Tiraspol and Shakhtar Donetsk in the group stages, and finished comfortably first. However in the knockout stages, they gave the fans a tough time, only to make one comeback win after the other. They first beat Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg, after being 2-0 down on aggregate. They then faced Chelsea in a fantastic tie, which once again saw them make their way to the finish line in the dying seconds. Their semi-final run in against Manchester City is one for the ages, with Real Madrid completing an unbelievable comeback from 2-0 down. 

Liverpool always look like a strong side under Klopp, showing a spirit that never dies. With all of their marksmen on the top of their game, and having a solid defense, they would seem like the favourites if they were facing any other side. Mohamed Salah and Luiz Diaz will look to create trouble for the Real Madrid defenders, as the English side would look to win their seventh UCL.

Real Madrid have been brilliant this year, at the back of two players in the forms of their lives. While Vinicius Jr. is proving to the world his true potential, his partner Karin Benzema has been a force to be reckoned with. Benzema has his eyes firmly set on the Ballon d’Or, and winning the UCL title would more or less confirm it. 

This year’s UCL final, which will take place at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France, is one even the football pundits will have a tough time calling. As one unstoppable force goes head to head with an immovable object, football fans can expect a treat.
