UFO Factory plot

UFO Factory follows the antics of an old, ruined mining town, Ogarrio del Cobre, that desperately wants to attract tourists to pay off their big debt to the government. Otherwise, their lands and houses will be seized. In their time of need, they turn to Dalí Montoro, a 40-something handsome, charming man who uses a fine web of lies to navigate his life.

This includes maintaining a great, false image in front of his young son, Marvin, while struggling to make ends meet. Thus, the great liar Dalí and the Ogarrio residents decide to spin a fine story about a prophesied UFO crash in their boring little town to gain the attention of the rich cult of the Pleiadians of Ashtar (a prophesied race of aliens).

Hopefully, this would be enough to save the town, as it would be thronged by a boatload of paranormal experts and curious tourists. From secretly building a UFO to launching it in the sky using a hot air balloon, the series has multiple iconic and humorous moments that make the absurdist drama worth a watch.

UFO Factory cast

UFO Factory features a talented ensemble cast, led by Jerónimo Best as Dalí, the protagonist, Susana Alexander as Suspiro, Juan Carlos Colombo as Benedict and María Del Carmen Farías as Pepita. UFO Factory was developed by David Pagan Mariñez, who co-directed the show with Luis Hernández Kilo.
