Ugram box office day one: Starts on a passable note, detailed collections here

Ugram is a film that was released with very good hype as Allari Naresh had last teamed up with director Vijay Kanakamedala who directed his hit film Naandhi. Ugram is a cop drama and is about the story of missing children and how a sincere cop cracks the case. The action drama was released along with Gopichand's Ramabanam yesterday.

Well, the box office numbers are out and the word is that the film has made 1.7 crores gross on day one worldwide. It made one crore in Telugu states which is decent as the word of mouth was not that great. As the weekend is on and the other release, Ramabanam has started with a flop talk, Ugram will see some hike in the collections.

The theatrical value was locked at five croes and if the film does well in the next two days, things will look better for Urgam. The film has Mirnaa Mithun as the female lead and her performance was highly appreciated. Allari Naresh plays a sincere cop who has issues with his wife. The family drama coupled with some thrills in the second half are the basic assets of the film.

Allari Naresh has once again proved that he is a versatile actor and can also do all sorts of roles. The combo of Allari Naresh was appreciated a lot for Naandhi but now things are not that great and the film has in a way failed to live up to all the hype and has ended as an average fare. Only time will tell how much will it collect in the days to come.
