The shoot for Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's upcoming film, Indian 2 is in full swing. Yesterday the veteran actor shared a picture in which he is standing next to the statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in Chennai and taking a picture of the same. The actor revealed that he was standing in front of the statue exactly 25 years after it was unveiled by the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Kalaignar M Karunanidhi. He wrote, "I am standing near the statue of hero Netaji for the shoot of Indian 2, which was unveiled by former CM Kalaignar Karunanidhi exactly 25 years ago. Great people, great memories (sic)."

The crew of Indian 2 has been shooting in the IT park in Chennai and Bobby Simha is shooting along with Kamal Haasan. We hear that Simha plays a police officer in the film. Kamal Haasan will be reprising the role of freedom fighter and vigilante Chandrabose Senapathy, his iconic character from the 1996 film Indian. And interestingly, the character is inspired by Netaji in the film. The original film ends with 'Indian thatha' fleeing India and warning everyone that he will resume his crusade against corruption, if needed.

Kamal Haasan had flown into the US to prepare his character and prosthetics for the role. Kamal Haasan is also said to be on a special diet for his character, which predominantly involves only liquid. The reason being that eating could disrupt the prosthetics. Kamal Haasan has also been reaching the sets in the wee hours of the morning for the prosthetics.

The star cast for Indian 2 includes Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal , Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Jayaprakash and Delhi Ganesh. The film is bankrolled by Red Giant Movies. It is to be noted that Udhayanidhi had earlier distributed Kamal Haasan's previous outing Vikram.
