Umar Riaz reacts to brother Asim’s comment on Sidharth Shukla’s Bigg Boss 13 wins: He wanted to give youth a message

Asim Riaz had recently opened up on how he felt about Sidharth Shukla’s Bigg Boss 13 win. The runner-up also claimed that the makers ensured the win by closing his voting lines till the last day. Now, Umar Riaz, who was a participant on Bigg Boss 15, gave his piece of mind on Asim’s comment.

Umar said that his brother Asim was holding a lot since a long time. He further added that Asim wanted to give the youth a message – to never give up no matter what.

Filmibeat reported Umar saying that Asim doesn’t usually give an interview or express how he’s feeling. Thus, when he had so much to talk about and got an opportunity to, he expressed a lot.

Umar pointed out how Asim has tried to talk to his fans through his songs before the interview too. He also noted that Asim did not talk about the matter for three years, till he felt like he should.

“Woh hota hai na, build up hota jata hai and then you are like 'Now I have to say. Waise bhi farak nhi padh raha tha, abhi bhi nahi pad raha hai, toh main bol deta hoon,” Umar was reported saying.

Umar further noted that Asim’s tone was such that he wanted to talk to the youth. “It was more towards giving a message to the youth that whatever is happening today and what you are going through in life, you should work hard,” the doctor-model said.

Asim had told RJ Siddharth Kannan “Because they didn't want me to win, haanji bhai aaj hum online voting khol denge 15 min ke liye, jitana hai jitao jisko (they opened online voting and said, make whoever you want win).”

At the grand finale, host Salman Khan held both Sidharth and Asim’s hand and then, announced Sidharth as the winner. He even made one remark for Asim, “Chahe jitna bhi kar lo, runner-up ho toh poore life runner-up hi bulaaye jaoge, kabhi winner nahi bolenge.”

Sidharth Shukla won Bigg Boss 13. While Asim was the runner-up, Shehnaaz Gill was the second runner-up of the show.

During the whole season, Twitter was divided between their love for Asim and Sidharth. Both the contestants were friends like brothers initially but eventually turned rivals and of course, competitors on the show.
