The upcoming action flick Uncharted, which features Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg teaming up, has recently unveiled its newest poster and release date. The movie will be released in theatres on February 18, 2022.

The poster was unveiled on the film’s official social media handles. It features Holland and Wahlberg on the rocky edges of an island, solemn expressions on their faces. In the background the tattered sails and crooked masts of a battered ship are also visible.

Uncharted is based on the popular video game of the same name. A synopsis available on the film’s official website reads, ‘Inspired by the acclaimed video game series, this action-adventure epic spans the globe and follows Nate and Sully as they embark on the dangerous pursuit of “the greatest treasure never found” while also tracking clues that may lead to Nate’s long-lost brother.’

While Holland plays Nate, Wahlberg essays the role of Sully. In addition to the two, the upcoming film also features Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle and Antonio Banderas in pivotal roles.

Uncharted is directed by Ruben Fleischer, known for helming films such as Venom (2018) and Zombieland (2009). The film’s screenplay was written by Rafe Judkins, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. The movie is distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing.
