Under Paris OTT release date - Helmed by Xavier Gens and starring Bérénice Bejo, the French film narrates the thrilling story of a huge shark that is terrorising the city of love

French cinema is adding interesting and intriguing content to the thriller genre, and this new film is the proof. With Under Paris, we will once again encounter some bone-chilling visuals and thrills as the French thriller is helmed by Xavier Gens who is famous for the Hitman franchise (2007), Cold Skin (2017), and Mayhem! (2023).
The French entertainment industry’s collaboration with Netflix seems to be a win-win situation for both parties. From Dealer to November 13: Attack on Paris, Gone for Good and Black Butterflies, each one of them garnered immense viewership on the streaming giant.
Under Paris will be showcasing a thrilling story of a huge shark that is terrorising the city of love. Although shark tales are not exactly novel as we have seen popular films such as Jaws, The Meg, Ghost Shark and, Shark Night, it seems like Under Paris will be showcasing something different. Under Paris is coming soon on June 5, 2024, only on Netflix.
The film unfolds as Sofia, a scientist, learns from a young environmentalist Mika, that a killer shark is swimming deep inside a river in Paris and has already caused a bloodbath. Hence, people in that region are quite terrified. How will Sofia save the city of love form the crux of the story.
The trailer shows some thrilling twists. It opens with the shocking discovery of the killer shark in River Seine. As the city grapples with the threats, a marine scientist and an activist team up to find the solution. But their idea was not accepted by the government, and the military has been called in to take aggressive action. What happens next? Will the military be able to solve the terrifying situation, or will Sofia’s idea work? While talking to police officer Nasim, Sofia says, “If we don't do anything, your PR operation could turn into a total bloodbath.”
With striking visuals and breathtaking scenes, the trailer surely promises a film that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Starring Bérénice Bejo, Nassim Lyes, Léa Léviant, Iñaki Lartigue and José Antonio Pedrosa Moreno, Under Paris is also co-written by Xavier Gens. Bérénice Bejo, who plays the role of Sofia, had earlier secured the prestigious Oscar nomination for her performance in The Artist (2011).
