You remember him as the lucky billionaire Rahul Awasthi from Ludo. He also played the adorable Rishi Singh Ahlawat in Mismatched. With the two roles, Rohit Suresh Saraf gained immense fame as an actor.

However, not many know about his roles or characters before the two popular Netflix releases.

Today, we take a look at some of his underrated performances...

Medium (short film)

In Medium, Saraf played the role of Hridhaan. He belonged to the elite group who were apprehensive about accepting a new Hindi medium student Sharda (Anshikaa Shrivastava) in school.

Hridhaan, however, introduces her to his group and tries to make her feel comfortable around them.

What People Will Say

What People Will Say saw Saraf in the role of Amir, who is the lead actress Nisha (Mariah Mozhdah)'s, cousin. He is someone who gets attracted to Nisha and they end up kissing in a segment in the Norwegian film.

The movie revolved around Nisha, who constantly tried to break free from the rules set by her orthodox Muslim family, living in Pakistan.

It can be streamed on Netflix in India.

Dear Maya

Saraf played the role of Neil in Manisha Koirala's comeback film. The actor's performance was appreciated back when the movie released, but the role or even the movie as a whole has not been discussed much since.

Dear Maya was the story of a lonely woman named Maya (Manisha Koirala). She had a pen pal, which she later realized was a prank played on her by her neighbours Ira (Shreya Chaudhary) and Ana (Madiha Imam). The incident left both the girls scarred, who later make it a mission to find Maya.

The film is available for viewing on Amazon Prime Video.

Dear Zindagi

Saraf played the role of Kiddo, Kaira's (Alia Bhatt) younger brother and the only person in her family whom she is close to. Scenes between him and Alia were quite heart-touching.

Dear Zindagi was a film revolving around Kaira. She played the role of every-other-girl who battles depression and embraces the feeling despite personal difficulties.

The film can be viewed on Netflix in India.

The Sky Is Pink

In The Sky Is Pink, Saraf played the role of Aisha Chaudhary (Zaira Wasim)'s brother Ishaan.

The film was based on the real-life of Aisha Chaudhary, who became an inspiration to many despite facing hurdles in her own life. She suffered from severe combined immunodeficiency and pulmonary fibrosis.

The film, also starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar in the lead roles is available for streaming on Netflix.
