United Kingdom of Kerala: Ranjith Sajeev's film to release in theatres with Detective Ujjwalan

The makers of Malayalam upcoming film, United Kingdom of Kerala, revealed the postponement of its theatrical release. The film, which was earlier slated to hit the big screen in April, has now been scheduled to release on May 23.

The release of the movie, which stars Ranjith Sajeev in the lead role, has been postponed several times. However, it has been confirmed that the family drama will have a theatrical premiere on May 23. If released on the said date, United Kingdom of Kerala will be screened in theatres along with Dhyan Sreenivasan's Detective Ujjwalan and Sreenath Bhasi-starrer Azadi. A trailer or teaser for United Kingdom of Kerala is expected in the coming days ahead of its release on the big screen.

Cast and crew of United Kingdom of Kerala

Upacharapoorvan Gunda Jayan fame Arun Vaiga has directed this movie. The director himself has penned the screenplay for this movie. Sinoj P Ayyappan is the cinematographer. Apart from the Golam and Qalb star, Johny Antony is also playing a pivotal role in United Kingdom of Kerala. The actor-director is known for his films such as C.I.D Moosa and Cycle. He had also appeared in prominent characters in a number of movies such as Turbo last year. His upcoming line-up of films include Prince and Family and Haal.

Indrans, Alphonse Puthren, Manoj K Jayan, Manju Pillai, Sangeetha and Sarangi Shyam are among the supporting cast of United Kingdom of Kerala. The movie is bankrolled by Anne Sajeev and Alex under the banners of Pooyappally Films and Fragrant Nature Film Creations. Rajesh Murugesan has composed soundtracks for the film.

The film's posters suggest that it tells the narrative of a group of young people who are working hard to achieve their goals. It also suggests a heartfelt relationship between a father and his son. Recently, a song titled Resamale was released. Netizens applauded Ranjith Sajeev's performance in it.
