The release date of Unni Mukundan’s upcoming Malayalam film, Jai Ganesh, has been revealed. According to several sources, the film is going to be released on April 11, 2024. The movie is a superhero fantasy entertainment that Ranjith Sankar is directing.
The puja for the film was held on November 9, with its shoot commencing a day later, on November 10. Director Ranjith Sankar, who is known for films such as Passenger and Njan Marykutty, is co-producing this project along with Unni. This marks their first collaboration.

Apart from Unni Mukundan, the film also stars Mahima Nambiar in the lead role. With this film, actress Jomol is set to make her big-screen comeback after the 2017 film Careful. She plays a criminal lawyer in the film, which also stars Hareesh Peradi, Ashokan, Ravindra Vijay and Nandu.
Jai Ganesh is said to have fantasy elements and the director mentioned in an interview that it is “an extremely demanding script that traverses between reality and imagination.” Unni Mukundan had said that his character in the film is one of the most challenging that he has played so far. The film is a superhero movie that is based on reality and imagination.
Cinematographer Chandru Selvaraj, composer Sankar Sharma, sound designer Tapas Nayak and editor Sangeeth Prathap are all part of the film’s crew.
Unni Mukundan signs a slew of projects
The Malikappuram star has several projects in his kitty. Unni Mukundan is currently shooting for the Tamil movie Karuden, which is directed by Durai Senthil Kumar and also stars Soori and Sasikumar. Additionally, he is preparing for the shooting of Gandharva Jr, a fantasy drama with Vishnu Aravind. Meanwhile, he has also signed a dramedy titled Get-Set Baby! that is written by YV Rajesh and directed by Vinay Govind. The actor is also set to appear in the upcoming gangster thriller Marco, which is directed by Haneef Adeni.
