Bigg Boss Telugu fame Vj Sunny, comedian Sapthagiri, Palasa 1978 actress Nakshatra joined forces for a madcap comedy titled Unstoppable recently. The film was directed by Diamond Ratna Babu, writer of hit films like Seema Sastry, Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam. The entertainer was bankrolled by Rajith Rao under A2B Productions. The entertainer opened to mixed responses from critics and audiences upon its theatrical release.
After its brief theatrical run, the film is now streaming on OTT. Popular OTT platform Amazon Prime Video acquired its post theatrical digital rights and premiered the comedy this Friday. Aqsa Khan, Bittiri Satti, Pruthvi, Posani Krishna Murali, Raja Ravindra, Raghu Babu, Anand Chakrapani, Viran Muttam Setty, Vikramaditya, Murali Goud, Rupa Lakshmi, Shakalaka Shankar, Chammak Chandra, Manichandana, Lirisha, Geetha Singh essayed supporting roles.
The film centres on three friends Kohinoor Kalyan, Jilani Ramdas and their common friend, who run a film-based Youtube channel titled Unstoppable, where they garner opinions from spectators at theatres for a living. Kalyan and Ramdas lose Rs 10 lakh each in a cricket bet and need to settle their dues. When they seek help from a friend, the latter accidentally transfers the money to a dreaded gangster. How far can the trio go to get back their money?
Bheems Ceciroleo, best known for Balagam recently, scored the music for the comedy whose singers include Rahul Sipligunj, Sai Madhav and Indravathi Chauhan (besides the composer). Venumuralidhar V cranked the camera for the same and Sb Uddhav was the editor. Kasarla Shyam was the sole lyricist and Bhanu choreographed the songs. Shaik Rafi, Bittu, Ramu Marugonda co-produced the film and Venkataswamy Soma, Anoop Kumar P were the executive producers.
"Unstoppable would’ve been tolerable if Diamond Ratna Babu stuck to his strengths alone - writing - and handed over the script to a more capable filmmaker. He has a reasonably good cast, decent premise but fails to display any control over the proceedings," OTTplay.com's critic wrote about the film at the time of its release.
