Prime Video's The Traitors India contestant Harsh Gujral's dismissal of co-contestant Uorfi Javed with the words "Uorfi jaisi ladki mujhe influence nahi kar sakti." (A girl like Uorfi cannot influence me) has mounted tensions inside the show. The comment, made during the palace's Circle of Shaq, jolted the group's trust and caused a domino effect of negative emotions.
Immediately, the mood in the show's expansive Rajasthani setting, Suryagarh Palace, dipped due to the catty insult. After Uorfi began to withdraw from strategy meetings, she confided in fellow competitor Jasmin Bhasin. She told Jasmin, "Yeh sunke laga jaise uss ladke ko meri koi respect hi nahi hai." (Hearing this made me feel like that boy has no respect for me.)
Jasmin, who has remained mostly impartial, implied that Harsh's comments were more tactical than personal. She warned Uorfi that he “may be using you for his own survival”, suggesting that partnerships are coming and going at a faster rate than anyone anticipated.
She, clearly still shaken, described the reasons Uorfi has not addressed Harsh. She said, "I also felt awful about whatever he said. I am not reacting. I have not even spoken to him after that. Mujhe bura laga, usne galat bola. Usko lagta hai main pagal hoon!" (I haven’t spoken to him since. I felt hurt; he was wrong. He thinks I’m crazy!)
Her plan for self-protection may be the reason she chooses to remain silent, but either way, the rift makes both players susceptible as suspicion grows—especially when both the Traitors and the Innocents are beginning to second-guess themselves with every conversation.
For the time being, Harsh is secure thanks to one of the season's most prized shields. Perception frequently triumphs over immunity in the following Round Table vote, rendering that protection useless if the social backlash becomes more intense.
The premise of the show relies on paranoia; it was developed by BBC Studios India Productions in collaboration with All3Media International and was adapted from IDTV's BAFTA- and Emmy-winning concept. On June 12, 2025, 20 celebrities knew that a few were covertly chosen to be traitors, but they entered the game nevertheless. Episodes will be released weekly at 8 p.m. IST till the series conclusion on July 3, 2025.
The show, hosted by Karan Johar, takes place entirely in the lavish Suryagarh Palace. Following the elimination of Raj Kundra, Karan Kundra, Sahil Salathia, and Lakshmi Manchu, the remaining contenders consist of Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva Mukhija, Elnaaz Norouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jasmin Bhasin, Uorfi Javed, and others.
