Actor Duniya Vijay’s directorial debut, Salaga, is one of the star-films that released last year that is not yet on OTT. But then news came that the satellite and digital rights were sold to Udaya TV (SunNXT), as confirmed by Vijay himself, but there’s been no news of a streaming date. When we spoke to Vijay recently, he said that the film will get a festive release on OTT. Ugadi 2022, perhaps? We’ll update this as soon as we hear more.

Vikrant Rona

Kiccha Sudeep’s much-awaited fantasy action drama is currently slated for a February 24 theatrical release, provided there’s no weekend curfew. There have been reports that the makers received offers to the tune of 100 crore to give the film a direct-to-OTT release, which they have decided against, as they believe it requires a theatrical outing. The Anup Bhandari directorial, Vikrant Rona has been converted to 3D as well for a superior viewing experience, which would be a wasted effort if it goes straight to OTT. As of now, the makers are sticking to their theatrical release first and then digital plan.
