Garudan – August 1

Garudan is a rural action drama starring actors Soori, Sasikumar, and Unni Mukundan in the lead role. Directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar, the film revolves around two best friends and a loyalist. However, a rift created between the friends snowballs into a game of deceit, violence, and emotions.

Mayakoothu – August 8

Mayakoothu is hyperlink crime fantasy film directed by AR Raghavendra. The film stars Nagarajan Kannan, Delhi Ganesh, Sai Dheena, and others. Mayakoothu is about a writer who gets to face the characters that he is creating through his creative works.

Maaman – August 8

Maaman is family drama helmed by actor Prasanth Pandiraj. The film stars Soori in the lead role and revolves around the relationship between a man and his nephew. It stars Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead. Maaman explores the themes of family boundaries, and privacy. It also stars Rajkiran, Swasika, and others.

Good Day – August 15

Good Day is a Tamil drama film which is helmed by N Aravindhan and written by Porrna JS Michael. Featuring Prithviraj Ramalingam in the lead role, who also produced the film, Good Day revolves around a working-class man who drinks to celebrate his birthday, as the night turns into an adventure for him. Actors Myna Nandhini, Aadukalam Murugadoss and Kaali Venkat also appear in prominent roles.

Akkenam – August 16

Akkenam is a Tamil action thriller helmed by Uday K who also wrote the film. It stars actor Keerthi Pandian along with her father Arun Pandian. The latter has also produced the film. The film revolves around a cab driver and a former convict who is just released as they team up against for a noble cause.
