Urmila Matondkar is all set for her OTT debut with web series Tiwari; here's all you need to know

With Tiwari, Urmila Matondkar will debut in a web series. The small-town thriller series has an emotional mother-daughter relationship at its centre, and the actor portrays the title character in it, according to the show's creators.

Matondkar, who has appeared in movies like Rangeela, Kaun, Ek Haseena Thi, and Pinjar, expressed excitement about beginning production on her debut web series. In a statement, the actor said that this series gave her the character, a plot that was difficult for her to perform, and things that she hadn't done before. A group of young writers worked together to compose and create the story, and they succeeded in keeping her attention throughout the narration. The story's emotional mother-daughter theme is at its heart, but there is also drama, action, and some suspenseful twists and turns, which is what she liked most about it.

Tiwari is a series that Content Engineers and Saurabh Varma both directed and produced. Matondkar was the first and only candidate, according to Varma, to play Tiwari in the show.

The director said that they couldn't really conceive of anyone else with the kind of complex graph Tiwari, aka Urmila, possesses in the episode. As a company and as a filmmaker, their goal is to produce family-friendly entertainment for audiences around the world. Acharya and Dr. Raj Kishor Khaware are the show's producers. Matondkar last appeared in the 2014 Marathi movie Ajoba after joining the Shiv Sena in 2020.
