Urvashi Rautela recently made headlines with her sartorial style choices at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. The actress is currently preparing for her upcoming film, which is a biopic of the late actor Parveen Babi.
Speaking about the film, the actor took to Instagram and shared a post in which she said that Bollywood had failed Parveen Babi, but she would make her proud.
Urvashi posted a picture of the script of the film with the caption, "Bollywood Failed #ParveenBabi but I will make you proud #PB ~ UR Om Namah Shivay. Trust the magic of new beginnings."
A closer look at the picture reveals some details of the film: it is directed by Wasim S Khan and written by Dhiraj Mishra.
Parveen Babi was a popular heroine in the 1980s, having starred in blockbuster films such as Deewaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, The Burning Train, and Shaan. And her life was nothing short of a Bollywood film in itself.
Considered a fashion icon, she was alleged to have been in relationships with actors Kabir Bedi, Danny Denzongpa, and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt at different points in her life. After being diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, she died of multiple organ failure in 2005.
Urvashi, on the other hand, made her acting debut with Sunny Deol's Singh Saab The Great in 2013. She last appeared in the web series Inspector Avinash, alongside Randeep Hooda.
