The 2022 US Open started off with a bang and now it has reached the semi-final stage at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York.
All eyes will be on Spanish youngster Carlos Alzaraz who had defeated Italy's Jannik Sinner 3-6, 6-7 (9), 6-7 (7), 7-5, 6-3 in the quarter-final.
He became the youngest male player so far to reach the semi-final of the final Grand Slam tournament since Pete Sampras won the title at the age of 19 in 1990.
The other game will see Karen Kachanov face World No. 7 Casper Ruud in the semi-finals. He had defeated Australia's Nick Kyrgios 7-5, 4-6, 7-5, 6-7 (7), 6-4.
In the women's singles event, World No. 1 Iga Swiatek will be facing Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-final while Caroline Garcia will face Ons Jabeur.
